Payout rules compared

Passing is one problem and getting paid is another. The split is the least interesting number here; cadence and the gates in front of it are the rest.

Getting paid is a separate problem from passing

Every figure on this page was read from the firm's own site on . Passing an evaluation and taking money out are governed by different rules, and the second set is where firms differ most. A profit split is the least interesting number on this page. What decides whether you see money is the combination of how often you may request, what you must have done first, and whether a consistency rule gates the request.

The three shapes

Winning-day counts. Topstep's standard path requires at least five winning days of $150 or more before a payout, and caps the amount. It also offers a second path that trades the day count for a tighter consistency requirement, which is unusual: most firms give you one set of rules rather than a choice between two.

Waiting periods. Apex uses a flat five trading days between payouts and advertises no payout denials, no payout reviews and no requirement to supply charts or video. Whatever else that is, it is a specific and falsifiable claim rather than a vague promise.

Immediate access. Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from day one of the funded stage, and MyFundedFutures sets cadence per plan, from daily on its Rapid plans to bi-weekly on Pro. MyFundedFutures also advertises that more than 75% of payouts are auto-approved.

Reading a payout policy before you buy

Three questions answer most of it, and all three are answerable from public pages before you spend anything:

  1. Is there a minimum number of winning days, and does a small winning day count? A $150 threshold and a $1 threshold are very different rules.
  2. Is there a cap per request, and does it scale with account size? A cap turns a single large month into several months of withdrawals.
  3. Does a consistency rule gate the request? If so, the rule you skipped over while comparing evaluation prices is the rule that decides when you get paid.

FAQ

How often can you withdraw from a futures prop firm?
It ranges from daily to bi-weekly depending on firm and plan. Apex uses five trading days between payouts, Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from day one of the funded stage, and MyFundedFutures sets cadence per plan.
What is a good profit split at a prop firm?
Splits cluster at 80/20 and 90/10 across these firms, so the split is rarely the differentiator. Payout cadence, winning-day requirements and consistency gates vary far more.
Do prop firms deny payouts?
Apex explicitly advertises no payout denials and no payout reviews. Other firms on this site do not make an equivalent published claim, which is not evidence that they deny payouts, only that they have not published a commitment either way.

This page compares published terms. It is not advice, not a ranking, and not a recommendation. Prop firm evaluations are a paid product with a low published pass rate. Some links on this page are affiliate links, marked as sponsored. They never change which firms appear, what the tables say, or the order of anything. No firm has paid for placement or reviewed this page.
