Evaluation pricing, drawdown rules, profit splits and payout terms for the major
futures prop firms — every number below was read from the firm's own site on
, with the caveats spelled out.
No rankings, no "best of" — the terms, side by side, so you can decide.
The short version
A futures prop firm sells you an evaluation ("combine", "test") on a simulated account with a
profit target and a drawdown limit; pass it and you trade a funded account and keep most of the
profits. As of July 29, 2026: Topstep charges monthly ($49–$199/month) with
end-of-day trailing drawdown and a 90% split; Apex sells one-time 30-day
evaluations ($199–$1,490 list, near-permanently discounted) and advertises 100% of the first
payouts; Earn2Trade ($150–$550/month) converts to a live account with a tiered
50/80 split; Take Profit Trader ($150–$360/month) pays 80/20 with withdrawals
from day one of the funded stage; MyFundedFutures ($53–$239/month promo-priced)
differentiates on payout speed. Every firm's pricing is promo-inflected — treat list prices as
ceilings, not what most people pay.
Side by side — the $50K evaluation
The $50K tier is every firm's most-quoted size, so it's the cleanest comparison.
Prices are the firm's displayed price on July 29, 2026; several are standing-promo prices
(noted). All accounts are simulated during evaluation.
An intraday trailing drawdown follows your open-position high-water mark in
real time — a trade that goes up and comes back can fail you while still green. An
end-of-day trailing drawdown only ratchets at the close, which forgives
intraday swings. Firms price this: Apex charges roughly double for EOD ($490 vs $249 at $50K)
because it is materially easier to keep.
"Up to 90% off" is the normal price
On the day we checked, Apex's banner code cut a $199 evaluation to $19.90, Earn2Trade
offered 50% off for 6 months, Take Profit Trader 40% off for life, and MyFundedFutures' shown
prices were ~50% under list. Assume the promo price is the real price and the list price is an
anchor. Topstep instead builds the discount into its two-tier "Responsible Trading Advantage"
pricing.
Consistency rules gate the payout, not the pass
Apex requires that no single day exceed 50% of your profit balance at payout (30% during
evaluation); Earn2Trade applies 30%; MyFundedFutures applies 50% on its Builder plan and none
on Rapid/Pro. If your style is a few big days, these rules matter more than the split.
Payout cadence varies wildly
Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from day one of the funded stage; MyFundedFutures
advertises payouts "as fast as 1 minute" on Rapid; Apex allows a request every 5 trading days
($500 minimum); Topstep quotes 3–5 days; Earn2Trade pays weekly ($100 minimum).
Pass rates are low, and only one firm publishes one
Take Profit Trader discloses that 36.22% of its trading tests were passed in calendar 2025 —
the only firm on this page publishing that number. Evaluation fees are the business model;
budget for more than one attempt.

FAQ
Which futures prop firm is cheapest?
At displayed July 29, 2026 prices, MyFundedFutures' promo pricing ($53–$63/month at
$25K–$50K) and Topstep's $49 RTA tier are the lowest recurring entry points; Apex's
discount-code pricing can make a one-time evaluation cost under $25. Cheapest to enter
is not cheapest to get paid from — activation fees, resets and consistency rules decide
the real cost.
Do prop firm evaluations use real money?
No. Every evaluation on this page runs on simulated accounts, and several firms' funded
stages are also simulated ("sim funded"), with the firm paying withdrawals from its own revenue.
The CFTC does not regulate these programs the way it regulates brokers.
Can I trade the COT report inside a prop account?
COT positioning is weekly context, not an entry signal, and most prop rules (daily loss
limits, consistency bands) push toward intraday styles. Positioning data like
this site's COT pages is best used to know which side of a market crowded
speculators are on before sizing any trade — see
the position size calculator.
Disclosure & method
Every number above was read directly from the firm's public pricing pages on
July 29, 2026; prices and promos change weekly, so verify on the firm's site before paying.
Outbound firm links on this page use our /go/ redirect and are marked
sponsored; if a firm listed here ever pays us a referral fee, that changes nothing
about the numbers shown — the table is what the vendor's site says, or it doesn't get
published. FuturesBench's COT data pages carry no affiliate links, ever. This page is
information, not a recommendation to buy an evaluation or trade futures; most participants
lose their evaluation fee.
