Report Jul 21, 2026 · live minutes after CFTC

The freshness race

Every Friday around 3:30 pm ET the CFTC publishes the Commitments of Traders report. This page measures — automatically, against the CFTC's own file timestamps — how long each COT site takes to show it. Including us.

The measured pipeline

24s to render, upload, invalidate and edge-verify all 685 pages — measured on the most recent production publish.

The first fully public head-to-head race lands with the next release on Jul 31, 2026 at ~3:30 pm ET. From then on, this page keeps score every week — our lag and everyone else's, measured the same way.

"pre-monitor" rows predate the race monitor (started July 29, 2026): history is shown, but no speed claim is made for them. "≤ first check" means a site already displayed the report when our first probe of that cycle ran.

How this is measured

Why it matters: COT positioning is most useful in the window between the Friday release and the Sunday open. Data that arrives hours late spends that window stale. The email recap lands minutes after the release; the free API serves the new report the moment this page says "live".
