Privacy policy
What FuturesBench collects, what it does not, and how advertising cookies work here.
What this site collects
Pages send a small first-party pageview ping: the page path, the site name, and whether this is the first page of your visit. It sets no cookies and carries no account, no fingerprint and no advertising identifier. Our hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and debugging.
Email alerts
If you sign up for the Friday recap we store your email address and nothing else, and only after you confirm by clicking the link we send (double opt-in). Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes the address.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. More third-party opt-outs are at aboutads.info. Clearly marked partner links are covered in the disclaimer.
Analytics
This site also uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address, which it does not store; reports reach us only as aggregate counts. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The API and data downloads
The free API requires no key and no login, so using it identifies you no further than any web request does. The underlying CFTC data is public domain.
What this site does not do
No accounts, no login, no sale of personal information, no social-media trackers.
